I Shop Morton 2013 is a program administered by the Morton Chamber of Commerce to encourage Morton residents to purchase services and products in our local Member businesses. Each year, the Chamber offers a variety of promotional opportunities to our Members under this program.
MOTHER'S DAY GIFT GUIDE

SHOP SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY

On the Saturday following Thanksgiving, the Chamber hosts a promotion to encourage local shopping. The promotion is tied to the national Shop Small Business Saturday initiative. Small Business Saturday is on November 30th this year. To promote local shopping, we will be:
1. Direct Mailing a Coupon Sheet to Every Household in Morton in Early November.
Coupons must be good for Saturday, November 30th only!
2. Give-away to be announced, an individual will receive an entry ticket with any paid sale on Saturday, November 30th.
#3. Promoting the Event through our Social Media Sites and Local Newspapers.
If you want to participate in our Shop Small Business Saturday Promotion, please register online by November 2nd. It’s FREE! Chamber Members Only Please! Registration available in October.

Email a picture and description of a product or service that you will be offering during the holidays that is $30 or less and we will feature it on a special I Shop Morton Holiday E-Blast that will be distributed to a list of over 3,000 directly and also on our Facebook Page and Chamber Website. Send the information to Tammy Stephens at tstephens@mortonillinois.org. Don’t forget that photo!

Chamber Members are encouraged to log in to www.mortonchamber.org and add any special deals to the Hot Deals section. These deals are automatically sent out on our social media sites and are also posted on the Hot Deals list on our website.

The Chamber maintains an I Shop Morton Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/IShopMorton. We post coupons from Hot Deals on this site and also feature our Member's special retail events and products. To have your event or product featured on our I Shop Morton Facebook Page, send information via email to tstephens@mortonillinois.org.
WELCOME TO MORTON BAGS
The Chamber puts together Welcome to Morton bags that are given to new citizens by the Village of Morton when they stop in to hook up their water service. We distribute approximately 360 bags per year. When the Chamber is ready to fill another set of Welcome Bags, we send an email out to our Members to let them know how many items to bring to our offices for the bags. We encourage Members to offer a valuable coupon, free product or service, or an item that new residents will keep and enjoy.
CHAMBER CHECKS
The Chamber sells over $100,000 each year in Chamber Checks, a gift certificate that can only be redeamed at Chamber Member businesses. We promote the Chamber Checks for holiday gifts and employee incentives. All Chamber Members can accept Chamber Checks and cash them through their banking institution as they would any other check.
