The Chamber's Leadership Women series offers an opportunity to discuss the unique challenges of being a woman in the workplace with successful women in leadership. The intimate lunch setting is ideal for in-depth discussions on balancing work and family, maximizing your strengths, and working in environments and situations that still may cater to men. Each session is limited to 28 guests.

Speaker: Kelly Scarfe, Artist & Owner of Jefferson Street Studio and Gallery
Our speaker for this Leadership Women session is Kelly Scarfe, Artist and Owner of Jefferson Street Studio and Gallery.
Kelly Scarfe was born in Rockford, Illinois and spent her youth in Morton, Illinois graduating from Morton High School in 1990. Kelly went on to receive her BFA with an emphasis in painting from Southeast Missouri State University. While drawn to her love for the arts, Kelly pursued a career in Human Resources and recruiting after college and put her art on hold. She moved between Memphis, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Denver and Salt Lake City until this wanderer found her way back home. It was not until she moved back to the Midwest that Kelly began to slowly reengage with her art. Kelly fully re-embraced her passion for abstract painting again approximately 5 years ago, painting full time. She went on to purchase Jefferson Street Studio and Gallery, where her art studio was located, in July 2017 from Rose Hubbard. Kelly is now excited to be creating art and providing the opportunity for others in Central Illinois to have the ability to view and purchase local fine art. Kelly lives in Morton with her husband Jason and her two children, Jake and Ava, who currently attend Morton High School.
