​A ribbon cutting is a ceremony that celebrates the opening of a new business, or the reopening, relocation, or change of ownership of an existing one. The Morton Chamber of Commerce is excited to recognize your milestones and would be honored to celebrate these special moments with you.

Why host a ribbon cutting?
​A ribbon cutting marks an exciting new beginning for your business. It’s more than just a celebration—it’s an opportunity to recognize the hard work behind your success, formally introduce your business or changes to the community, and connect with fellow Chamber members and local leaders.

What you get when you host a ribbon cutting with the Chamber?

• Your event will be shared directly with our Board of Directors and Ambassadors to encourage attendance and support
• Listing on the Morton Chamber’s public events calendar for added visibility
• Use of ceremonial orange ribbon and signature “giant scissors” for your special moment
• Professional photos featured in our monthly newsletter and across social media platforms

Who can host a ribbon cutting?
Ribbon cuttings are available to Morton Chamber of Commerce members and are intended for businesses that meet one of the following within six months:

• Opening a new business or relocating an existing business
• Completing a significant expansion or remodel
  
• Experiencing new management or a change in ownership

Storefront businesses are preferred. Home-based businesses are encouraged to contact the Chamber to explore offsite ribbon-cutting opportunities.
